Herbed Salisbury Mushroom Steaks

Ingredients
1 package (8oz) slice fresh mushrooms
1 pound extra lean ground beef
1/4 cup plain dry bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup teaspoon dried thyme leaves
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons canola or soybean oil
1 jar (12oz) fat-free beef gravy

Directions

  1. In medium bowl mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, thyme, and ketchup.
  2. Shape into 4 to 6, 1 inch think, patties.
  3. Fry the patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove patties to a plate; keep warm.
  5. Drain off grease from skillet.
  6. Heat oil in skillet.
  7. Add mushrooms, cook and stir until softened.
  8. Add gravy and patties and cook over low heat until warm.

I really liked this dish, though my patties burned, I turned skillet down to medium but it was pretty good, mushrooms were the kicker! Thanks
