First I want to explain what I have called the 'free day'. I have used other menu planning services and found that there was always one day that my family would eat out. The free day is the opportunity for you to either eat out, catch up to my meals if you are behind, or make something that you or your family loves.

Grocery List

Bakery Items
1/4 cup Bread crumbs
4 Dinner rolls

Basic Cooking Ingredients
1 tablespoon Canola oil
2 teaspoons Canola oil
1 (12oz) jar Brown gravy
1 (28oz) jar Spaghetti Sauce
3 tablespoons Olive oil
1 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar

Beverages
3/4 cup White wine (or cooking wine or chicken broth)

Canned Foods
1 can Corn

Condiments and Salad Dressings
3 tablespoons Ketchup

Dairy, Eggs and Milk
1 egg
1/4 cup Milk
1 pound Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
10 oz Sour cream

Ethnic Foods
8 burrito size Flour tortillas
1 jar Salsa

Frozen Foods
1 cup Broccoli
2 cups Corn
Bread sticks
Frozen pizzas (order out, make your own)
2 cups Green beans

Herbs and Spices
3/4 teaspoons Thyme
2 teaspoons Parsley

Meats, Fish and Seafood
1 pound Chicken breasts
1 pound Ground beef
6 turkey breast cutlets (or chicken breast)
4 skinless boneless halves Chicken breasts

Pasta, Rice and Beans
1 cup Egg noodles
1 (16oz) box Spaghetti
1 cup Brown rice

Produce
1/2 cup Onions
1 cup Carrots
Salad mix
1 (8oz) package Mushrooms
1 (12oz) package Mushrooms
1 1/2 cups Onions
Red potatoes

Soup
1 (14oz) Can Chicken broth
1 (10 ounce) can Cream of chicken soup

Be sure to check you refrigerator and pantry for any of these items that you already have. Also, don't forget to add items for breakfast, lunch and every day items. Going grocery shopping is much easier if you have a list of everything you need.
