Stir Fry Beef and Pasta

What am I having for dinner tonight?
Stir Fry Beef and Pasta
Fruit Salad

Ingredients
8 ounces Spaghetti - uncooked
4 tablespoons corn starch - divided
1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1-2 cloves garlic - pressed
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon pepper
12 ounces boneless beef round steak - cut into thin strips
2 cups cold water
2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil - divided
2 carrots - thinly sliced
1 large onion - cut into chucks
1 10 ounce package frozen cut green beans - thawed and drained

Directions

  1. Put large pot of water on to boil for the pasta
  2. In a small bowl blend 1 tablespoon each of cornstarch and soy sauce.
  3. Add ginger and pepper and beef.
  4. Marinate if for 30 minutes.
  5. In another small bowl, blend the remaining 3 tablespoons of cornstarch into water.
  6. Stir in remaining 1/3 cup of soy sauce and set aside.
  7. Prepare pasta according to the package directions, drain.
  8. Add 1 teaspoon of oil to the pasta and toss to coat.
  9. In a medium skillet heat 1 tablespoon of oil.
  10. Add meat mixture and stir fry for 1 minute.
  11. Remove meat mixture from heat and set aside.
  12. In same skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil.
  13. Add carrots and onion and stir-fry until tender-crisp.
  14. Stir in meat, cornstarch/soy sauce mixture and green beens.
  15. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened.
  16. Arrange hot pasta on plate and top with meat mixture.
