Sirloin Soup

What am I having for dinner tonight?
Sirloin Soup
Green Salad

Ingredients
1 tablespoon oil
1 small onion, diced
1 pound lean, ground sirloin
1/3 cup flour
1 pkg (32 oz) beef broth
1 bag (1 pound) frozen soup vegetables
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat and add onion.
  2. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up chunks with a spoon, until cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  4. Place flour and 2/3 cup water in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake to blend well.
  5. Pour flour mixture into saucepan with beef and add broth; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Add vegetables and simmer until cooked, about 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.

Let me know what you think of this soup. I love soup in the fall, and the weather is going to turn a little cooler, finally. (at least in my neck of the woods)

What is your favorite homemade soup? Please share!

Prep for tomorrow, tonight: We are having spaghetti so no prep is necessary.
