Porketta Roast

Porketta Roast

Ingredients
1 tablespoon dill seed
1 tablespoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 pounds boneless pork roast

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. In a small bowl, combine the dill seed, fennel seed, oregano, lemon pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix well and apply to the roast.
  4. Place roast in a greased roasting pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours and 40 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of pork registers 160 degrees.

Let me know what you think of this simple dish.

I am trying this tomorrow night, only thing for novice cooks like myself, I wasn't sure which meat to buy at store. There was pork tenderloin and pork blade roast??? I got the latter b/c it looked more like how I pictured the dinner and it was cheaper!

Either would work. I have actually used both for this recipe. It all depends on what is on sale. The important part is that it is boneless.

I hope you like the dish.
