Sausage Ziti Bake

Sausage Ziti Bake

1 1/2 pounds sweet Italian Bulk Sausage
1 pound uncooked ziti
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 large onion, chopped
32 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
salt to taste
pepper to taste
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

  1. Brown sausage in large stockpot.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the ziti according to the package directions.
  3. Drain ziti.
  4. After sausage is browned remove it to a bowl and drain off all but about 1 tablespoon drippings.
  5. Add mushrooms and onions to stockpot and cook gently until tender.
  6. Stir in sauce, sausage, cooked and drained ziti, salt and pepper.
  7. Spoon into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  8. Cover.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until heated the whole way through.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese.
  11. Bake uncovered an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted.

Let me know what you think of this ziti dish.

I absolutely LOVED this recipe. So did Ryan! We didn't have mushrooms, so we left them out, but it was still delicious! Thanks.

Hey, by the way...how are you getting your hits up? I am getting between 200-300 a day still, but you are flying by me now. I need help!

I am glad you and Ryan liked the recipe.

Someone posted my link on a disney discussion board. I don't know who but I got over 300 visitors that day. It has really taken off since then. I am thinking of how I can find other discussion sites, that might interest me and other moms, that have nothing to do with cooking and recipes that might keep things moving.

www.disboards.com was the site. You can't post links unless you have been a member for a while. Otherwise I would have given it to you already. But, if you want to join up anyway give it a try.

I make this recipe but I use hamburger instead of the sausage.
