Ingredients
1 3-ounce package beef-flavor ramen noodles
1/2 pound beef sirloin steak, cut 3/4 inch thick
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 medium carrot, thinly sliced (1/2 cup)
1 stalk celery, bias-sliced (1/2 cup)
1 6 ounce package frozen pea pods, thawed
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
2 teaspoons teriyaki sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
Directions
- Cook ramen noodles according to package directions, except drain the noodles and reserve the seasoning package.
- Meanwhile, trim any separable fat from the steak.
- Cut the steak into thin bite-size strips; set aside.
- Pour cooking oil into a wok or large skillet.
- preheat over medium-high heat.
- Add carrot and celery.
- Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Remove the vegetables from the wok or skillet.
- Add the steak strips to the hot wok.
- Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or to desired doneness.
- Return carrot and celery to the wok.
- Stir in noodles, reserved seasoning package, pea pods, water, parsley, teriyaki sauce, ginger, and if desired crushed red pepper.
- Cook over medium heat until heated through, stirring occasionally.
