St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is next week. Do you make any special food to celebrate the holiday?

Truthfully, this is the first year it has crossed my mind to make something special for the day. The most I ever do to celebrate the day is make sure I wear green as not to get pinched. But, this year I plan to do something I have memories of my mom doing at least once.

I am going to make green silver dollar pancakes for my daughter, and husband if he has time. I have a very vivid memory of my mom putting green food coloring in our pancake mix one year to make us green pancakes for St. Patrick's Day. I remember finding it to be great fun. I thought I might give it a try for my daughter as she has a new love of pancakes.

What are you making? I know there are much more traditional dishes than green pancakes.

Mrs. Paradis,

Your dinner sounds very traditional. That dessert sounds good. You will have to let me know how it turns out.

I am glad everyone liked your cake. It sounded like a lot of work with those strawberries.
