Menu Planning: 102

The next tip to menu planning is something simple that can make your meal planning surprisingly more simple. Themed dinner nights! If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you will know that Thursday night is Mexican Thursdays! Mexican Thursdays in my house started because my husband always seemed to be disappointed with Thursday meals. I soon discovered that as a bachelor Ted would go to Taco Bell for dinner every Thursday night. So, when Thursdays came around he would be disappointed with anything that I made if it wasn't Mexican in nature. After making this discovery I started to make Mexican (my husband and my favorite type of food) every Thursday.

As an added benefit to pleasing my husband, was the ease planning Thursday dinners became. We had our favorites and occasionally I would try something new. It became so easy to figure out what to have for dinner that I try to do other themed nights. Now, I have pasta Wednesday and Fun Day Friday. I also try to make Saturday's meal easy, but don't always follow this rule.

So, try having themed dinner nights. It makes it so much easier to plan if you can narrow down what you might like to have on any one night.
