Another Great Month at The Grocery Store

My grocery bill was higher than last months $225, at $315, but there were 5 Saturdays this month versus last months 4. I only averaged $63 a week for groceries! Again, I was able to feed my family of three and buy all those other necessities such as laundry detergent, shampoos, diapers for that price. This month I even made a lasagna dinner for 8 with sides and dessert for another family, hosted a family of four over for dinner, had a play date including snacks, and baked over 6 dozen cookies and two pans of brownies for a fundraiser.

These low grocery bills are largely due to The Grocery Game (please use CarriesCooking@gmail.com as referral). It does take a while to see this type of savings. At first, I noticed I was getting more groceries for my money. Then slowly the bills went down. I know I could get them even lower if I only cooked with food I bought through the game. But, I still buy a few things off the list. All I can say is the rising grocery prices have had no affect on the way my family eats, thanks to The Grocery Game.

Great post Carrie! That's still a respectable spend for the month! I too think that the rising grocery prices are a blurb on our budget because of GG. I do love the lists!
