Ingredients
1 pound fettuccine
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 large cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
1 container (8 oz) reduced-fat or nonfat sour cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Cook fettucine in a large pot of lightly salted boiling water until al dente, firm but tender.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a small skillet over low heat.
- Add garlic; cook until golden, turning cloves over as they color, 6 minutes.
- Add basil; cook 10 seconds.
- Transfer to a food processor.
- Add sour crea, Parmesan, salt and pepper.
- Whirl until creamy.
- Pour into a serving bowl.
- Drain pasta well.
- Add to bowl with crea sauce; toss to mix.
