Stale Bread Tips

What do you do with your stale bread?

I have a bread machine and love to make my own bread. But, I find that the bread goes stale faster. (I guess because it lacks preservatives.) So, what do I do when the bread gets a little dry. Here are some great options:

  • Make french toast
  • Make your own croutons. Cut into cubes toss with olive oil (just a little) and Italian seasoning and put on a baking sheet in oven at 170 degrees for 2 hours.
  • Make your own bread crumbs. Cut into cubes and put on baking sheet in oven at 170 degrees for 2 hours. Then put in a food processor to make into crumbs.

Monkeycat, do you have a recipe you can share. I don't believe I have even had bread pudding.
