Broiler Cooked Bacon

I tried cooking bacon a new way today, and it worked out great. I have cooked bacon on a skillet and in the microwave. I was going to get out the skillet, not looking forward to all the grease spatter all over my kitchen. But, I really don't like bacon that is cooked in the microwave. That is when I noticed that on the back of the bacon was instructions for cooking the bacon using my ovens broiler. I gave it a try.

I got out my broiler pan and moved a rack in the oven to about 3 or 4 inches from the broiler. I turned on the broiler and lined up some bacon on the pan. I put the bacon in the oven for 2 minutes on each side. (some I did 2 minutes and 1 minute on the other side for less crispy bacon)

It was so easy! The grease was in the bottom of the broiler pan. There was no spatter of grease to clean up. The bacon tasted great! It was a win, win, win.

Next time you are making bacon give this cooking tip a try. Let me know how it goes.
