Basic Pizza Dough

I know I have another pizza dough recipe.  But, the other recipe I have only ever made in either a bread machine or stand mixer with a dough hook.  I found this recipe in Parents Magazine.  It explains what to do if you don't use a bread machine or stand mixer.  You do it the old fashion way with your hands.  I tried it out and it turned out great and was so easy.  Go ahead and give it a try.

Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose four, divided
1 package active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions
  1. In a large bowl, mix 1 1/4 cups flour with yeast and salt; add war water and oil.
  2. Beat with a whisk for 3 minutes.
  3. Using a wooden spoon, stir in another 1 1/4 cups flour, or enough so mixture holds together.
  4. Place dough on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Knead in 1/4 to 1/2 cup more flour - stop once it's lump-free.
  6. Wrap half the dough in plastic and freeze for later use; cover remainder and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  7. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
  8. On a lightly floured surface and roll.
  9. Transfer to a greased baking sheet.
  10. Build up edges slightly; prick bottom of crusts.
  11. Bake about 8 minutes.
  12. Spread sauce and toppings onto crust and bake for another 8 minutes.
