BBQ Porterhouse or T-Bone Steak (Pantry Pick)

E wanted to know what to do with her Porthouse Steaks.  She mentioned a recipe that cooked in the slow cooker.  Well, I am not sure that this cut of meat is good for the slow cooker.  I couldn't help but give you a recipe that you make using your broiler.  It is still a quickly made meal.

Ingredients
  1. 2 to 4 well-trimmed beef T-Bone or Porterhouse steaks, cut 1 inch thick
  2. 2 tablespoons chili powder
  3. 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  4. 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  5. 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  6. 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  7. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  8. 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
Directions
  1. Preheat broiler
  2. Combine all spices in a bowl and mix together well.
  3. Rub spices into both sides of the steaks.
  4. Broil steaks 15 to 20 minutes 3 to 4 inches from heat to medium doneness.  (Turning after 8 to 10 minutes.)
E - Let me know what you think of this recipe.  I hope it works for you!

We did try this recipe for the Porterhouse steak. It smelled wonderful while broiling! The kids ate it up, they liked the sweet bbq taste I suppose. My dh and I thought it was pretty good, too. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
