E wanted to know what to do with her Porthouse Steaks. She mentioned a recipe that cooked in the slow cooker. Well, I am not sure that this cut of meat is good for the slow cooker. I couldn't help but give you a recipe that you make using your broiler. It is still a quickly made meal.
Ingredients
- 2 to 4 well-trimmed beef T-Bone or Porterhouse steaks, cut 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
Directions
- Preheat broiler
- Combine all spices in a bowl and mix together well.
- Rub spices into both sides of the steaks.
- Broil steaks 15 to 20 minutes 3 to 4 inches from heat to medium doneness. (Turning after 8 to 10 minutes.)
E - Let me know what you think of this recipe. I hope it works for you!

We did try this recipe for the Porterhouse steak. It smelled wonderful while broiling! The kids ate it up, they liked the sweet bbq taste I suppose. My dh and I thought it was pretty good, too. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
