Staying Frugal (Food Inventory)

In my efforts to really keep the grocery bills down, just this morning I started my food inventory.  To get more on why and what I do with this check out my Meal/Menu Planning series class 201, here.  I decided to make it a little more formal than my normal scrap paper.  You can see what I have inventoried so far, my freezer, on this list I just published, Food Inventory.

I will be using this list to plan out my meals going forward to use the food I have and try to only buy food each week that are super great deals using The Grocery Game.  I am even thinking of shopping at a few different stores instead of just my standard Kroger location.

If you would like to check out my full Meal/Menu Planning series, you can find all the classes, here.

Do you inventory your food so you don't buy food you already have? Do you do it so you can meal plan like I do?  Or are you one that has never taken the time to inventory what food you have on hand?  Let me know.  I would love to hear from you.

Hey Carrie!

I don't have a written inventory, but I do organize both my pantry and my fridge/freezers so in a quick glance I can see what I do have and what I'm low on.

And I NEVER make a menu plan without first checking to see what I have on hand that I can use. Then of course, I build my menu plan around on hand items + sales.

Missed you last Saturday! Hope things are well with you!!
