Kroger and Cubs Shopping

CarriesCooking's Pricebook

I had a good week at the grocery stores again this week.  I did go over budget for the week but still at budget for the month.  (I budget $300 a month for the 4 of us.  It goes for all groceries, toiletries, diapers ect. for the month.)

These are my Kroger purchases.  I forgot to take a picture of my Cubs purchases, oops!

Spent: $94.55
Saved: $93.59 or 49.7%

My big stock up this week was Kroger cheese.  My kids love to eat it as a snack and we all love it in my recipes.  This stockpile will really save us in the long run.

If you want to save this kind of money too, join The Grocery Game with me (please don't forget to add CarriesCooking@gmail.com as your referral.)  And, if you would like to see the details of my shopping check out CarriesCookings Pricebook.

Do you use the Grocery Game too?  What was your big stockpile this week?

Really? The kind you print out or the kind you can put on your store card?

It is sad that because some people abuse the coupons everyone is punished.

The ones you print out from manufacturers. :o( I only shop at Krogers and very rarely any where else so its kinda crappy.

Heather,

That is sad. Those are the ones that I know some stores don't take because they don't trust them. It is upsetting that they everyone is punished just because a few might abuse them.

I am a bit new to frugal living (and I regret that I didn't start sooner even more each day). Your spreadsheet looks great. You've inspired me to begin my own. I always wanted to track the sales, but was unsure of how to set up my spreadsheet. Thank you so very much for sharing yours!

Adouma,

I think we all wish we would have started earlier being frugal. But, we can't go back. Just be proud of what you are doing now to spend money more wisely.

I am glad that you are inspired by my price book. I think if you do track sales you will eventually be able to tell on your own when you shop when a sale is good or not. For example, I only by pears when they are .88 a pound. I know they don't go lower than that.

Plus, there are many places that help you watch for sales. I use www.TheGroceryGame.com the most. I plan to suggest other free sites as I blog further.
