Next weekend I am participating in my local Relay For Life. It is the signature event for the American Cancer Society. It allows teams of people to camp out and have fun while walking or running around a path and raise money to fight cancer. Our event is 22 hours long.
The things that make this event so special to me:
- I get to spend the whole day with family and friends.
- We spend the night in our camper.
- I raise money to help fight a disease that affects 1 in 3 people.
- Our local Relay was started by my friend Lynn, who lost her battle with cancer in 2005.
If you feel moved to help me reach my personal goal of raising $600 towards this event please visit my fundraising page here. Any amount will be appreciated.
Thank you!
Carrie

How did it go? Fun? How did the weather hold out up there...rainy a bit down here on Saturday, but Sunday was gorgeous.
I forgot to tell you how much I would donate.
Is it too later, or will they still accept donations.
Let me know
The Relay went well. Weather wasn't too bad. My team raised just over $2900 and the Relay in total raised over $90K.
It isn't too late to donate. We have until August 31st for donations to count towards this years Relay. Then they just count to the 2010 Relay.
